London Theatre Program
Application
All students applying to The London Theatre
Program are asked to audition in person in the Fall at Sarah Lawrence
College or USC. Spring auditions are held at SLC, USC and Tufts University
in Boston - or submit an audition videotape as a required part of the
application. Videos need not be professionally done and should run no
longer than 10 minutes. The following must be part of your audition:
1. Some words about yourself—who you are, how old you are,
what school you attend, when you began studying acting, if you have
ever been to London, what you know about The London Theatre Program,
why you are applying to the program, and how you heard about the program.
2. A brief (2-3 minutes or less) monologue from Shakespeare.
3. A brief (2-3 minutes or less) contrasting monologue from the
modern repertory.
4. A song sung without accompaniment. This should not be a major
production number; just have fun with it.
While a DVD audition is acceptable, students who are able are strongly
recommended to audition in person on the Sarah Lawrence campus.

a video audition to us by March 1 for fall/academic year applications
or October 15 for spring applications. The videotape must be sent by

The completed application form, letters of recommendation, personal
statement, study abroad approval form, official transcripts, audition
and application fee are due as follows:
Sarah Lawrence students
February 1 (for fall and full-year applicants)
October 15 (for spring applicants)
Non-Sarah Lawrence students
March 1 (for fall and full-year applicants)
October 15 (for spring applicants)
Students who need an early acceptance date should notify Sarah Lawrence
College at the address below, giving the reason(s) an exception is requested.
The non-refundable application fee (non-Sarah
Lawrence students only) is $40.00.
