Locations / Facilities

BADA is based at Regents Park, London during the academic school year and at Balliol College, Oxford during the summer.  The London Theatre Program and the Shakespeare Programme take place in London, while the Midsummer in Oxford and Midsummer Conservatory Program take place in Oxford.

Regents Park
Located in north London, Regents Park is one of the most historic and beautiful parks in all London. Designed in 1811 by renowned architect John Nash, its 410 acres were once King Henry VIII’s private hunting grounds. Today, surrounded by Regency buildings, it is London's most civilized park. Though the park’s centerpiece is the world-renowned London Zoo, it also boasts two boating lakes, three playgrounds, tennis courts, bandstand music, a café and a thriving, open-air theatre.

BADA’s London location also abuts St. John’s Wood (the elegant home to many of London’s embassy residences), as well as Camden Town, the exhilarating crossroads of north London. Famous for its crowded markets and as a center for alternative lifestyles, Camden’s coffee bars, health food stores, art house cinemas, and distinctive shops make it especially popular with students.

Oxford started life in Saxon times and flourishes now more than ever. A small, manageable city, it is a thriving center for every kind of intellectual, cultural and social pursuit and is the ideal backdrop for BADA’s summer programs.
