Midsummer Conservatory
Program
Overview
The Midsummer Conservatory program is designed for serious students,
age 16-18 and concentrates on classical acting. The program is
the partner of the BADA Midsummer in Oxford program for college students
held each summer at Balliol College and runs for four weeks during the
month of July.
The main objective of the program is to help students improve acting
skills so they are better able to meet the challenges that will confront
them at college, drama school and university.
The program is highly intensive and for committed students only.
Participation in this program serves as an excellent training for those
who plan to study theatre at a higher level.
Based in Oxford at Balliol’s Post-Graduate Centre, students are
able to work with an outstanding faculty in a caring environment with
close adult supervision.
Oxford offers a wide range of cultural opportunities and the program
includes visits to the London theatre together with excursions to Stratford
upon Avon.
Calendar (2008)
The Midsummer Conservatory Program runs for four weeks every summer
during the month of July. In 2008, the program will run from July 5th
through August 3rd.
