Applications for BADA's Midsummer Conservatory Program are audition-based.
Fees In 2010 the fees (including breakfast, lunch and dinner on weekdays) are £2,155 GBP for tuition and £1,635 GBP for accommodation.
A non-refundable deposit of £250 is payable on acceptance to confirm your place on the course and is deductible from the tuition fee.
Application Procedures The application process is comprised of two components: the submission of application materials and an audition.
The application form is available at the bottom of this page, in PDF format. Click on the link at the bottom of the page to open the file.
The application materials must include a completed application form, headshot photo, a current resume and a personal statement of not more than a single page detailing why the applicant would like to study drama at BADA.
The audition is comprised of a brief Shakespeare monologue (2 minutes or less), a contrasting contemporary monologue (also 2 minutes or less) and the cold reading of a Shakespeare sonnet. The applicant is expected to audition in person but in some cases auditions may be recorded onto DVD and sent to the New York office (address below)or posted electronically.
Please see the News section of this website for current audition locations and dates.
Applications are received from January 1st. Please include a $40 USD non-refundable application fee (for applications from the US) or a £20 GBP non-refundable application fee (for applications from Europe) in the form of a cheque made payable to 'BADA'. Applicants will be notified of their audition location and date as soon as possible after their application has been received.
Each year, the deadline for applications for individuals interested in attending an in-person audition is March 1st. The deadline for those wishing to submit a recorded audition is April 1st. Applications received after April 1st will be considered on a rolling basis, space permitting.

Acceptance Terms Students will be notified within two weeks of their audition whether or not they have been accepted. We regret that no refunds can be given later than four weeks before the program starting date. All students must have turned 16 by the starting date of the program.
Financial Assistance BADA is a not-for-profit organisation committed to attracting as broad a range of students as possible and so encourages students to apply for financial aid. Major scholarships are awarded to students who demonstrate exceptional talent at their audition and require financial assistance. In addition to our highly competitive major scholarships, a number of smaller awards are available to those individuals not chosen for major funding. Unfortunately BADA is not in the position to assist in the retention of outside grant or loan assistance. To apply for financial assistance please complete the relevant part of the application form.
Insurance Students must make their own arrangements for accident and health insurance. BADA cannot accept any liability for the student's safety, health or welfare. A student's health form must be completed by all students and counter-signed by a parent/guardian upon acceptance.
