Applications & Fees

Applications for BADA's Midsummer in Oxford Program are audition-based.

Fees In 2013 the fees will be USD $3,960 for tuition and USD $2,990 for accommodation (including a single room in Magdalen College housing and breakfast, lunch and dinner on weekdays in Magdalen College). All fees are payable in American dollars.

Application Procedures The application process is comprised of an online submission and an audition. Online submissions are made available from January to March each year.

The audition is comprised of a brief Shakespeare monologue (2 minutes or less), a contrasting contemporary monologue (also 2 minutes or less) and the cold reading of a Shakespeare sonnet.

The applicant is expected to audition in person but in some cases auditions may be recorded. Applicants wishing to audition in person must choose a location on the application form and will be contacted in reference to scheduling an appointment. Applicants wishing to submit a recorded audition must indicate this preference on the application form and will be contacted with further instructions on recording and submissions.

Please see the News section of this website for current audition locations and dates.

Applications  Applications for the Midsummer in Oxford Program 2013 are now closed.

Applicants will be notified of their audition location and date as soon as possible after their application has been received.

Acceptance Terms Students will be notified within four weeks of their audition whether or not they have been accepted. On acceptance, in order to hold their place, applicants will need to pay a non-refundable deposit of $500, which is deductible from the fees payable.

Financial Assistance BADA is a not-for-profit organisation committed to attracting as broad a range of students as possible and so encourages students to apply for financial aid. Major scholarships are awarded to students who demonstrate exceptional talent at their audition and require financial assistance. In addition to our highly competitive major scholarships, a number of smaller awards are available to those individuals not chosen for major funding. Unfortunately BADA is not in the position to assist in the retention of outside grant or loan assistance. To apply for an award from BADA's scholarship fund complete the relevant part of the application form.
