Students, faculty and staff live, work and study together in one of Oxford's oldest colleges

Since 1984, BADA has run its Midsummer in Oxford program at Balliol, a college founded in 1263 in the heart of the city.  Each student has his own private dormitory room with shared bath or shower facilities.  Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner are served on weekdays in Balliol's dining hall.  The college has its own bar, known as The Buttery, open after class on weekday evenings.

Classes take place in Balliol's teaching spaces as well as at other locations round Oxford including the Sheldonian Theatre, The Oxford Playhouse, St John's College and the University Club.

Oxford, ideally located about an hour from London and forty miles from Stratford-upon-Avon, is one of Europe's great university cities and contains many of England's most sublime and beautiful buildings and hosts some of its finest and most historic museums.

A small, manageable city, it is a thriving center for every kind of intellectual, cultural and social pursuit and is the ideal backdrop for BADA's summer programs.
