Faculty
The LTP faculty is comprised of distinguished actors, directors and leading teachers from Britain's foremost drama schools.
Alongside our distinguished faculty, BADA also arranges periodic Master Classes conducted by leading members of the theatrical profession. Recent guest artists have included Sir Derek Jacobi, Fiona Shaw, Greg Hicks, David Leveaux, Jeremy Irons, Alan Rickman, David Schwimmer, Sam West and Deborah Warner.

Ian Wooldridge
DEAN
Was Artistic Director of The Royal Lyceum Theatre Company, Edinburgh and TAG Theatre Company at the Citizens, Glasgow. Numerous Shakespeare productions in Britain, America and Chile, plus modern classics including Pinter, Beckett, Chekhov, Kane, Miller and Williams. His adaptation of Orwell's Animal Farm is published by Nick Hern Books. Dean of BADA since 1996. More info at www.ian-wooldridge.com.

Sheila Allen
Has performed in Camino Real, Coriolanus (Shakespeare Theatre, Washington), Cymbeline, King Lear (RSC), Hamlet, The Merchant of Venice (Old Vic), Way of the World, A Cocktail Party and All's Well That Ends Well (Huntington, Boston). She has taught in Britain and the US at UCLA, Boston University, Oberlin College and the University of Arizona.

Norman Ayrton
Principal of LAMDA (1966-72) and Dean of BADA (1985-96). Extensive teaching and directing in Australia and the United States where he joined the faculty of the Julliard School in New York in 1974.

Mick Barnfather
Trained with Desmond Jones, Philippe Gaulier and Monika Pagneux and is a key member of Theatre de Complicité with whom he has acted extensively. He has worked with Toucan Theatre Company, directed plays for the Hot House Theatre and appeared many times on television.

Christopher Cook
Broadcaster, journalist, writer, presenter and producer of many arts, feature and documentary programs for Radios 2,3,4. His published work includes: The Lion and the Dragon: British Voices from the China Coast (Hamish Hamilton 1985) and The Dilys Powell Reader (OUP 1991).

Paola Dionisotti
Actress of the Year (2001) for Further than the Furthest Thing. She has starred in many productions for the National Theatre, the Royal Shakespeare Company, the Chichester Festival and at the Old Vic.

Philip D'Orelans
Teaches stage combat at RADA, the Drama Studio, in Germany, Spain, Finland, and the United States, and was fight director for Julius Caesar and I'll Be the Devil (RSC), Piano/Forte (Royal Court), Breakfast With Mugabe and Macbeth. Philip is fight examiner for the British Academy of Stage & Screen Combat, Stage Combat Deutschland, and the Irish Dramatic Combat Academy.

Lynn Farleigh
has appeared in numerous productions at the Royal Shakespeare Company, the National Theatre, the Tricycle Theatre and Southampton Rep and starred on Broadway in The Homecoming. Film and TV work includes Pride and Prejudice, two series of Wycliffe and A Fairytale: A True Story.

John Gorrie
has written and directed extensively for the BBC and PBS, including Edward VII, Lillie, Rumpole of the Bailey, The Ruth Rendell Mysteries, Sherlock Holmes, Coronation Street, Eastenders, three Shakespeare plays for BBC TV and, recently, Cause Celebre with Helen Mirren.

Jessica Higgs
Vocal coach on many productions in London and elsewhere including the musical Mamma Mia. She has taught at Mountview Theatre School, Middlesex University and Rose Bruford College and has directed a number of productions for Tandem Theatre Company.

Annabel Leventon
Trained at Oxford University, LAMDA and with Cafe La Mama in New York. Appeared in the original London production of Hair!(nominated as Actress of the Year), Pillars of the Community (National) The Dresser, Jeffrey Bernard is Unwell, The Philanthropist, Oedipus Rex, Taming of the Shrew, A Midsummer Night's Dream. Film includes Wimbledon, M. Butterfly, and Rocky Horror Picture Show. As a director, has worked in Britain and the US.

Jackie Snow
Head of Movement at RADA and prior to this taught at Guildhall School of Music and Drama and LAMDA. Jackie is Master of Movement for the Globe Theatre and has supervised movement for the National Theatre, the Open Air Theatre in Regents Park and the BBC.

Susannah Wise
Recent plays include Rabbit, the Brits Off Broadway festival in New York, Festen (Lyric), The Unthinkable (Sheffield Crucible), When Harry Met Sally (Theatre Royal), Three Sisters, Sanctuary (RSC) and The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie (National). TV: The IT Crowd, Holby City, Midsomer Murders, Kavanagh QC, As You Like It, Dalziel & Pascoe, The Tenant of Wildfell Hall and Peep Show.

Leo Wringer
Has performed for the RSC, with Theatre de Complicite and in Deborah Warner's Medea (Abbey Theatre, Dublin and in the West End) and Julius Caesar (Barbican) and has toured England, Ireland, Mexico, the US and the Indian sub-continent for the RSC.
